Administrative Assistant

Carin Grunwald serves as the Administrative Assistant at Waterbury Bridge to Success (BTS) community partnership.

In this role, Carin focuses on managing internal staff logistics, maintaining partnership communication and expanding social impact investments. A seasoned change agent and champion for community vision, Carin is no stranger to coalition building and network advancement.

Prior to BTS, Carin began her career as a Parent Educator within the Plainville School System. Through her work, the school district adopted her “parents as teachers” curriculum. Progressively, she has held dual roles at the Northern Middlesex YMCA as a Family Advocate/ Home Visitor for the Early Head Program as well as the Administrative Assistant to the Vice President at the Northern Middlesex YMCA. Her expertise in curriculum development, fundraising, capacity building, office management and community engagement supported the role of Project Coordinator for Wolcott School District. Through this grant-funded position, Carin established a youth leadership group focused on a commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles and positive mental health, through peer- to -peer education, activism, leadership, and community involvement.

Carin prides herself in being anchored in community advancement and systems change. Her holistic approach to ensuring that communities and organizations have resources to thrive align with the mission of BTS. Through her extensive commitment, Carin has always found her work with community-based change to be rewarding and feels she has never actually worked a day in her life because of it.
